Principal's Message

Welcome to East View Academy!

I am grateful to be entering my seventh year as principal of East View Academy—a place where students have the opportunity to thrive in an environment that suits their individual needs.

My journey with SD 308 began in 2003, where I helped open Homestead Elementary School as an assistant principal. I also have experience as the assistant principal at The Wheatlands Elementary School, a teacher for the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative (at Boulder Hill Elementary School), and a coordinator for KCSEC.

As the therapeutic day school for SD 308, East View serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Our staff is dedicated to providing their support and expertise in every situation. Additionally, our students know that we believe in their potential, are always raising the bar, and never place limits on what they can achieve. That’s what makes EVA so special!

We teach students the skills they need to be successful in educational settings and beyond, encouraging them to Be Respectful, Be Accountable, and Make Right Choices. It is our mission to ensure each student is prepared for their next chapter when they exit our building for the final time, whether that means being placed in their home school, receiving a high school diploma, or any number of other scenarios. I hope for each of our students to become successful, contributing citizens once they begin their journeys after EVA.
